“Your work is to discover your work, and then, with all your heart, to give yourself to it…” …I’ve discovered my work, and, with all my heart, I’ve been giving myself to it ever since.

I see work, like everything else in life, as an opportunity to create change in the world. Every day is an opportunity to practice living up to my values and aligning with the highest and best of who I am. I’m not perfect. But I am gratified at the end of every day that I am able to live from a place of love, authenticity, excellence, and contribution, and express that through the work I do with clients.

I also chose “Heart-Centered” individuals as my preferred client base because it’s what I am, what I know, who I was raised by, and well, I can be a real sap. I’m sensitive, empathic, open-hearted, and relationship-oriented. I can’t help but genuinely care about my clients, their work, their success, and even their well-being (and I love that the work I do contributes to that well-being by giving them more time to spend in their personal lives, in addition to their areas of gifting in their businesses.)

There are many different definitions in the marketplace of what a Virtual Assistant is and a variety of views on what one can expect from working with a Virtual Assistant.

Here is my definition, and the way I work as a Virtual Assistant:

A Virtual Assistant is an independent business owner and highly-skilled professional who partners with a small number of hand-selected clients in long-term, collaborative relationships by providing operational, administrative, and personal support remotely.

Think of me as your right-hand person, an indispensable member of your team, your biggest fan and cheerleader, and the person you can absolutely trust to be on top of the details and to proactively anticipate your needs.

I genuinely care about my clients, am excited about their work, and am invested in their success. For me, it’s all about coming together in a relationship and partnership to achieve the vision you have for yourself and for your work.

As I provide operational and administrative assistance, my list of services could be summarized like this:

I do the work you need or help to get it done.

The other thing I have come to realize is this: no one VA can do it all and do it all well. I may not be able to do everything possible, but I can coordinate getting everything done.

If there’s something you need that you don’t see listed, or something is listed but you need it done in a specific program only, please ask me about it. I’m continuously investing in my professional development and chances are it’s on my training list (and would be bumped up in priority if we were to begin working together) or I have a referral who can fill in that service gap, whose work I would be happy to oversee on your behalf.

So…stop letting the “have-tos” keep you from the “want-tos”. Work in the parts of your business that light you up, that are in your areas of genius, that inspired you to go into business in the first place.

Make the difference you’re meant to make.

Live your purpose.
